  2. This brings to mind memories of times I have knocked myself silly. I almost always wear a ball cap, and when I am really lucky, the brim strikes whatever-it-is and I am ducking before making contact, but it doesn’t always work out that way.

The most aggravating thing in this line didn’t actually involve a head injury, but an obstruction. I was in the process of taking a stress test – walking on the treadmill. As you know, the more you walk, the higher the treadmill gets. Some short person (obviously) had carefully placed the &@#*^#^!! thing below a fire sprinkler. By the time I started getting up there a ways, I was having to walk more and more bent over.
I finally told the doctor, “I give up.” “Had enough?” he asked. “I could walk a long time more, but I’ve had enough of walking bent in half.”
